Android 7.0 Nougat Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge variants clears WiFi certification


Recently launched Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge is in the news once again. The budget Galaxy smartphone has been spotted on WiFi Alliance (WFA) site. The original Galaxy J3 Emerge comes with Android Marshmallow out of the box. But the Wifi site has given clearance to an Android 7.0 powered variant of the phone.

The Android 7.0 Nougat variant of Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge has been spotted on WiFi Alliance. As per the WiFi certification, As per WiFi certification, the model number of the Samsung smartphone, which is SM-J327A. The certification ID is WFA69536 and the date of certification is January 6, 2017.

This gives us the chance to anticipate the launch of Android Nougat powered Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge.

This second generation of the entry-level Samsung Galaxy J3 earlier was dubbed as the Galaxy J3 (2017). It shares similar specs and features with its predecessor Galaxy J3 (2016), varying slightly here and there.

Coming to the outer display, J3 Emerge sports a 5-inch 720p touchscreen similar to Galaxy J3 (2016). On the internal front, the new device adds an improvement by packing in an octa-core Snapdragon 430 system-on-chip from Qualcomm with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow while its predecessor was equipped with 5.0 Lollipop. J3 Emerge offers the same 2600mAh as J3 (2016).

In terms of camera quality, Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge sports the same fixed-focus 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel selfie snapper found in the U.S. versions of the 2016 J3.
