It’s official: Huawei P10, P10 Plus with Google DayDream, Amazon Voice Assistant, wireless charging to launch in March or April

Apart from the leaks and rumours about the high-end Huawei P10 smartphone, an official statement has also arrived revealing a few specs of the next generation Huawei phone. Coming in from Huawei‘s senior VP Richard Yu, we can vouch for this info.

The senior VP reveals that Huawei will launch not one but two smartphones- the Huawei P10 and its premium variant named the Huawei P10 Plus. Now that isn’t the main point of the news which attracted us to it. What is eye-catching is that both the smartphones will support Google DayDream VR and will come pre-loaded with Amazon’s Voice Assistant Alexa. Whoo! What a combination. The Huawei official, however, didn’t mention the price or release date, which we badly wanted to know.

But then, while searching for earlier news we came across a piece of information that quenches our curiosity. Huawei’s Chairman and CEO of the consumer division, Yu Chengdong, revealed in a post that they will launch the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus in March or April this year. The post seemingly also revealed that the P10 will have a non-curved display, while the Plus variant will come with a curved screen. This nullifies earlier rumours that the Huawei P10 could feature Galaxy S7 edge-like dual-curved display.

Now, the release time is known as well as the display. As for other features rumours are all we can rely upon for now. Read on!
The Huawei P10 will come with a bezel-less display with a physical home button on the front that will also double up as a fingerprint scanner. It will sport a 5.5-inch display with Quad HD resolution. It will be powered by a Kirin 960 chipset and pack in 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB of internal storage.

On the imaging front, the Huawei P10 is likely to boast of dual rear camera with DSLR-like bokeh affect. The resolution is not known as such. It should run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. It is rumoured to be the first Huawei smartphone to boast wireless charging capability. But the battery capacity is not known.

The features, specially the camera, wireless charging, Google DayDream support and Amazon Voice Assistant, have got us hooked on the Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus. Be sure that we will have all covered for you when it comes to this two smartphones. So stay tuned!
